Frequently asked questions

What ages is Little Light for?

The game is designed for children [ages 5–8, to confirm]. Younger children enjoy it with a grown-up, and older siblings often play along. The web app is for the whole family.

Which devices does the game work on?

Android phones and tablets through Google Play. [Minimum Android version, e.g. Android 7.0 or newer, to confirm] An iPhone and iPad version may come later.

Does the game need the internet?

No. Once it's installed, the game plays offline. That's also why nothing about your child is sent anywhere.

Are there ads or in-app purchases?

No. You pay once, and the whole game is yours. No ads, no in-app purchases, no subscriptions.

How do I reset progress or start again?

[If the grown-ups area has a Reset progress option, mention it here] You can also clear the game's storage in your device settings, or uninstall and reinstall it. This can't be undone, because progress is only stored on your device.

I changed phones. Can I move my child's progress?

Progress is kept only on the device, so we can't move it for you. Your device's own backup and transfer tools may copy it. You can always re-download the game on a new device with the same store account, at no extra cost.

How do I get a refund?

Refunds are handled by the store you bought from. For Google Play, see Google Play's refund help page. If you're stuck, email us and we'll help.

Which Bible translation do you use?

The game uses the World English Bible (WEB), a modern English translation in the public domain. Stories are retold simply for children, and the verse cards show the WEB text.

Can I use Little Light in Sunday school or a classroom?

Yes, please do! You can play the game with your class on devices you own and share our web app's verse images for church and classroom use. See our terms of use for details.

Does Little Light collect my child's data?

No. The game collects no personal information. There are no accounts, no tracking and no analytics. Read the parents' summary for the details.
